  Solar Installation Progressions:
    3 Guys Solar will walk you through the entire process from evaluating your property to commissioning your new solar PV system.
    Below is a description of the 5 major steps to completing a solar photovoltaic system.

Site Survey:
We provide every customer with a customer service representative so you have one point of contact.and a welcome letter will the phone numbers and emails addresses of our management team. We will answer any questions you have about how the solar system operates and discuss the installation process. We measure the roof and make a hand sketch. We use a Solar Pathfinder to pinpoint the best location for the solar collectors and avoid any shaded spots. Discuss the proposed locations of the solar equipment and inverters and give you the final word on how your system looks. Lastly, We have the customer sign the permit and net-meter docs.

Engineering:
We submit the sketch and photos from the site survey to our solar designer to design the structural mounting attachments and electrical drawings. We send the proposed roof layout to the customer to approve then our licensed Professional Energy will sign and seal the drawings.

Permitting:
We submit a permit application, engineered drawing package and our contractor license information to the local municipal building department. We are the most experience with the permitting process because we have a state certified license and have received permit approval in 32 different Florida Counties and 62 different municipal city building departments. The time frames varies depending the municipality.

Installation:
Once the permit is approved we procure all the materials and schedule the installation. Typical installation of a 10kW system on shingle roof typically takes 1-2 days. We need access to the garage and the attic access for part of the time to locate the trusses, run the AC/DC cables and install the inverters. The local building department will evaluate the installation and approve the system to be energized. We submit the net-meter paperwork to the utility company and they replace the existing meter with a solar meter in 5-10 business days.

Closeout:
At the end we schedule a meeting with the customer to show them how to operate and monitor the system output. We provide you with the user manuals, drawings, warranty info and Federal Tax form 5695. Answer any follow up questions. Lastly, we provide expert customer service for decades.
